Waste Fuel Disposal

Have an old fuel reservoir laying in the back of the garden full of old, useless or contaminated fuel? We're able to help you to get rid of it. We have been called out to quite a few domestic and commercial premises in Shropshire for the purpose of taking away and recycling fuel storages. We are covered by the Environment Agency to allow us to get rid of and dispose of waste fuel safely and legally.

Whether the fuel storage is an underground tank, a portable bowser, or even a few containers in an outbuilding, as long as we can reach it, we are able to drain it.

AdBlue In your Fuel

All around Shropshire we have discovered an increasing number of examples of AdBlue contamination wherein a motorist has poured AdBlue into their diesel fuel tank. This is mainly due to motorists being unsure of the right way to work with it (remember: it's not a fuel additive), and in part due to the fact that the inlets for diesel and AdBlue are typically directly next to one another on the automobile.

So, what's the problem with having AdBlue in your diesel tank?

Seeing as the product is primarily deionised water, it is as bad as putting water into your tank. Diesel and water will not blend in any way and trying to run a diesel car on water cannot work. Furthermore, the urea is particularly corrosive to the fuel system hoses and seals and is at risk of crystalising, clogging injectors and fuel filters. If in case you poured AdBlue in your fuel tank drain it as soon as possible. And obviously be careful not to start the vehicle - not even to relocate it to a parking spot. In the instance that you did start the car you may most likely need to have the complete fuel system purged and filters changed.

In the event that you end up in this predicament don’t panic! Contact us, the UK’s Number 1 fuel contamination company. Our engineers have got the specialised competence and experience to have you back on your way quickly and efficiently, without mess or hassle.
